Here are tips for dealing with hot weather:
1. Prevent dehydration by drinking lots of water, don't wait for thirst.
2. Avoid caffeinated drinks, energy drinks, alcohol, and sugary drinks.
3. Avoid contact with direct sunlight, use a hat or umbrella.
4. Wear clothes that are light and loose.
5. Avoid using dark colored clothes so as not to absorb heatheat.
6. Do not leave anyone in the vehicle in a parked condition, either with the window open or closed.
8. Use a minimum of 30 SPF sunscreen on skin that is not covered by clothes before leaving the house.
9. Keep a spray bottle of cold water in the vehicle.
Be alert when symptoms appear:
1. Excessive sweating.
2. Skin feels hot and dry.
3. A feeling of pounding or a feeling that the heart is beating faster.
4. The skin looks pale.
5. Cramps in the legs and abdomen.
6. Nausea, vomiting, dizziness.
7. Urine is scanty and dark yellow.
If these symptoms appear, cool the body with a wet cloth or wet sponge on the wrists, neck and other body folds and drink lots of water.
If you still have symptoms, immediately visit the nearest health facility to get treatment.
